Portland Bound

Next month, Ashley, Marta and I are going on a girls weekend to Portland, OR. This isn't my first time to Portland, but I'd love some recommendations.
High on our list is Voodoo Donuts and checking out some of the street food trucks. I can't wait to head back to Powell's.
For those of you familiar with or from Portland, where should we eat? Which are your favorite street food trucks? Do you know a good place for brunch?
Ashley wants a massage. Can anyone recommend a good massage place near downtown?
Lastly we want to go out and dance. Can you recommend any places that we can shake our thangs? We like top 40 & hip hop mostly.
We won't have a car, so please keep that in mind while giving me recommendations!

  1. Oooh! Portland's my hometown! I'm going there this weekend as well!

I totally recommend Veritable Quandry on 2nd for brunch. They have local and organic produce, but more importantly, they have DELICIOUS food!

  2. I want to do voodoo donuts too...but awhile back the hubby and I went to a show down there and had a very nice dinner at a family run Italian place. Food was off the charts, atmosphere was wonderful..all family members and mostly italian speaking. Great Wine and cheese appetizers and food. I always judge Italian by great tirimisu and they had it.

If you like a bit of a wild scene...Dante's is a heavy metal type bar with a lot of attitude!

  5. Cadillac Cafe by the convention center is the best breakfast/brunch spot. The Pearl District has some great bars--Henry's (beer) and Vault (martinis!) are my fave's there. Portland City Grill has a fabulous happy hour with amazing views. Andina is also popular. Bettie Ford's is a fairly popular club, and is close to McMenamin's Crystal Ballroom/Lola's. Doug Fir Lounge is funky with good drinks. For your high-end side, Pazzo Ristorante has AMAZING Italian food...If I think of any others, I'll let you know!
