Ooh, Feel that Winter Chill

It's been getting chilly here in the Pacific Northwest. It's time to break out the sweaters! Every fall I decide to buy a new fall/winter coat. But I'm terrible a buying a good winter coat. These are the ones I'm attracted to:

See no hoods! Something essential to me for our Seattle weather. I hate carrying an umbrella (no real Seattlite carries one anyway), so I have to have a hood. But I have a closet full of coats with no hoods!
I need to buy ones like these:

I've buying wanting to buy a North Face jacket for ages now. I should just bite the bullet and do it.

    It's so hard to find a jacket with a hood.

    I've become attached to the hip to my nice comfy fishing jacket. It's warm without being super bulky.

    But alas it's so far from being fashionable it's almost funny.
