On Saturday Tai and I won't be at a restaurant. Partly the money thing but I dislike going out for the sake of going out. I rather go out when I want to. And Saturday, I just don't want to. So we'll have our special meal at home. And yes we have a regular menu for this special dinner.
This menu gets pulled out at birthdays, holidays and special occasions. It's hands down our favorite special occasion dinner at home.
First we start with aged steaks from Whole Foods:
Shamelessly stolen from here. We bought these once on a lark and fell in love with them. My mouth waters thinking about them.
Then bacon wrapped scallops:
So yummy. I love the combo of the scallops and the bacon. It's so salty and sweet at the same time.
And we'll wash the whole thing down with Tai's favorite lambic. So what's on your Valentine's Day menu?
OOOOH I love the Lambics. I got hooked on them last summer and have tried their various fruits but I still love the berry ones the best. Although the peach is very close to the top. Hope you have a great V-day and thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteNo special menu for us. I work 12:30-9:30 that night.
ReplyDeleteI think we are going to stay home order pizza, drink some wine, and watch movies!
ReplyDeleteWe're probably going to Fazolis. It's a long standing tradition and I just got a coupon in my e-mail for a free dessert.
ReplyDeleteYes we are that weird.
Well, it's my son's 2nd birthday, so we'll be having cake with family :-) I think we are grilling salmon for dinner. And, thanks to you, I'm going to pick up some Lambic! Yumm!
ReplyDeleteLooks fab!
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely answer your travel question next week.
Cheers!
