Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Just four more this week. First the last book in the Nantucket series, On The Oceans Of Eternity. Tai really liked the series. I found Grimspace on the shelf at the library. I thought Tai might enjoy it. I saw Skinwalker advertised in the back of another book. It looked like something Tai and I might both like. And lastly The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro. I read about it on Olduvai Reads. I immediately was interested since it was written by Guillermo Del Toro, director of Hellboy. I can't wait to read it.
I finished Lolita and posted my review on Fill In the Gaps Challenge. I didn't care for it. If you read it let me know what you thought.
What did you get this week?

  2. Ooo, The Strain... I am interested to read what you think about it.

I read Lolita over the summer and really liked it. 'Like' might not be the right word. It was creepy and pervy, but I didn't dislike it for that necessarily. For me there was a definitely confusion for who I felt more sorry for-- Humbert or Lolita, if either of them at all.

  5. I've seen two of Toro's films-The Orphange and Pan's Labyrinth and LOVED them both. So I'm vurious about The Strain too!

  6. Grimspace looks really interesting! And I've been wanting to read The Strain, too. I'm still, like, #50 in line at my library though. :( (lol.)
