Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
I started planning for next year with this week's library loot. I felt aimless in my reading so I joined a few challenges and started digging through my tbr list to find some direction.
Industrial Magic by Kelly Armstrong. I've relooted this a few times. I reading it right now so I can move on in the series!
It's All Too Much by Peter Walsh has been on my tbr list since I saw it on Elizabeth Anne Designs Living Blog. I can't seem to find the post mentioning it but someone there did! The new year is coming and one of my constant resolutions is get rid of clutter and live with less. Hoping I find some good tips in here.
Entre Nous by Debra Ollivier has been on my tbr list since I read about it on Lovely Little Things.
Under The Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes is for my Fill In The Gaps Challenge. Ever since seeing the movie I've wanted to read this book!
My Life In France by Julia Child. I loved Julie & Julia and wanted to read this since I saw that movie.
The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf. While searching for another book in the library catalog, I stumbled on The Beauty Myth. I forgot I'd wanted to read it so I added it to my queue and here it is.
Lunch in Paris by Elizabeth Bard. I add this on to my tbr list after Clare of A Captive Reader posted about it. Kind of a France heavy LL huh?
I finished It's Always Something by Gilda Radner and posted about it on The Fill In Gaps blog. I also finished Girl, Interrupted and posted my thoughts there too.
So what did you get this week?
Someone got a lot of books ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great bunch of books! I am gong to have to add some to my to-read list. Especially Under the Tuscan Sun - I loved the movie too but have never read the book! Hope you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Lunch in Paris and am so glad to see you picked it up! All in all, looks like you had a great haul this week: it's hard to go wrong with Julia Child and Entre Nous has been on my TBR for a while too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your loot!
I loved My Life in France, and I'm of a mind to check out It's All Too Much for myself!
ReplyDeleteFrance is a good thing! This is one country that I would love to eat my way through just like Julia Child did!! I'm really looking forward to your thoughts on Lunch in Paris...plus I need to read My Life in France!! Great loot!
ReplyDeleteI didn't mind Wolf's End of America, not sure if I would enjoy the Beauty Myth as much.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some good ones. Enjoy!
