Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

I'm pretty stoked about this one showing up so quickly. I'm going to have to rearrange my library stack to get to it before it has to go back.
Christine mentioned Amulet in her loot last week. It sounded really good so I put the first book in my queue.
I read A Year of Living Biblically last year. Roose was Jacobs' research assistant. I thought I might enjoy his book too.
This is one is for the Fill In The Gaps Challenge.
I spotted this one on the new and interesting shelf at the library. I had remembered I wanted to read it so I picked it up.
I had been reluctant to read McEwan but Staci's wonderful review of On Chesil Beach convinced me to give it a try.
After reading about this one (I forget where now), I put it on my queue. It sounds like a book I could. I have trouble sitting still and just being.
What did you get this week?

  1. I feel the pressure!! I hope you like it!!! Amulet is a huge series right now with my Middle School students!!

  2. Ian McEwan is my favorite author and On Chesil Beach is in my top three favorites of his books. I hope you enjoy it!

  3. The Amulet series is very good, I read it with my kids. :D

    Enjoy your loot!

  4. Nice haul! I keep hearing about the Amulet series, so I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of that one.

  5. I love The Unlikely Disciple! It was one of my favourite books last year so I really hope you enjoy it too!

  6. I haven't read any of these but the cover for Amulet is gorgeous!

  7. The only one of these I have read is On Chesil Beach. I actually think that I don't get on that well with McEwan's writing.

    Enjoy your loot.

  8. Oh did you read the first Amulet book yet? My middle schooler and I have been reading them--on our own but during the same loan period. I think I might like them more than she. ;)

Shiny! I love comments.
