Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

My name is Linda and I have an addiction to library books. Is there a 12 step program I can join?

I've been wanting to read this one since I read about it on Staci's blog
I've heard good this about this so I thought I'd give a shot.
I've been wanting to read this one forever. I was very happy to spot this one on the shelf.
When people know you read a lot of books, you get a lot of book recommendations. One of my coworkers said this was her favorite book this year.
When I spotted this one on Eva's loot, I immediately added to it my library queue.
Again another one I wanted to read because all the cool kids are.
While I like having leftovers sometimes I just want enough for the two of us. I made the Hazelnut-crusted salmon the other night. Delicious.
Another I spied on the shelf and remembered wanting to read.
I've wanted to read this one for a long time despite Julie annoying me in the movie version. We'll see how print Julie compares to movie Julie.
I spotted this one on the shelf too and couldn't say no.
I love Good Eats and Alton Brown. I'm looking forward to finding some good recipes in this one.
I've been wanting to read this one for ages.

Whew! That was a lot.
What did you get this week?

  2. Looks like some awesome reading ahead of you!
I got GOLD by Chris Cleave from the library late last week but I haven't started it yet!

Let me know what you think of Make the Bread, Buy the Butter. I know Lisa of Books, Lists and Life had that one out at some point. I always welcome a second opinion.

  3. I've desperately been wanting to read that Mindy Kaling book! I had to break up with the library because my reading habits didn't play well with their rules about bringing stuff back in a timely manner. So now I've developed meaningful relationships with my favorite Seattle second hand bookshop Pegasus and the Friends of the Library Bookstore in Juneau. Between those two, I have a large stack I can read at a very leisurely pace!

Oh, wow. I just read your "About Me" blurb and I think we might be pychic twins because we're both into food, books, shopping, and I also got married on July 8th. Dum dum duuuuuuuum!

  6. I have seen Kaling's book cover all over the Internet, and it just keeps popping up almost everywhere I go. I believe it's on my TBR list, but it's been sitting in the back of my mind for a long while telling me to read it. I must check it out, because it looks like a good laugh!

Ooh, I have been meaning to read Valente's book, too! It looks good, as does the sequel.

Hope you enjoy the books! (:
