Top Ten Tuesday: Series I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish.

Today's topic is series I'd like to start but haven't yet.
I find the idea of The Infernal Devices interesting. Plus something about that time period.
With the movie coming out this year, I'm especially interested in starting the series soon.
I love Armstrong's Women of The Otherworld. I imagine I'd enjoy her YA series too.
I've heard nothing but good things about the Outlander series. It's on my list of books to read this year.
A series about Arthurian legend. The length of the books is the only reason I haven't started this series yet.
I think I have even checked out the first book in The Uglies series but never actually read it.
Heard good things about Pullman's His Dark Materials series but haven't gotten around to it.
Tai keeps encouraging me to read Hamilton's series about faeries. He knows how much I like faeries.
Another fey series I'd love to start.

I think I've picked Eragon from the library but never started it.

What series do you want to start but haven't?

  1. All this time I've been mixing up The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices as one series with the same protagonist, though I knew a movie was coming out... I didn't realize the film adaption will be released so soon! I will have to try City of Bones before the movie is released!

Ahh, yes, and Chronicles of Narnia! I have that on my list as well.

  2. The Uglies is so good. One of my favorite series! I am caught up on Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments. Infernal Devices is SO good. Both series are hard to put down, but the time period makes it even better!

  4. Oh my gosh, I love His Dark Materials. It's one of my favorite series. The audiobooks of His Dark Materials are fantastic! I've actually listened to the three books twice., they're that good.

I'm quite excited for the City of Bones movies!!

  5. The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices are both really good. I just recently started The Iron Fey. It's been mediocre so far. And I really need to read the last in the Hush, Hush series!

    Check out my TTT.

  7. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare is an really good read.I stayed up until 2 am on the day I bought it because I was totally sucked in. The setting of Victorian London is really atmospheric and well written, for anyone who loved the mortal instruments but doesnt read books set in this era, dont worry. It's really great.

  8. My three girls and I all love to read, I mean LOVE it! We also like to discuss books we read together. As such, it is always a joy to come across a book or series that engages all of us and ends with long conversations we all learn from. While I do not feel these books are age appropriate for my 8 year old, even with an advanced reading level, it IS for my 13 and 17 year olds. After The Golden Compass, they both fought over who would get to read The Subtle Knife first.

  9. I loved the Mortal Instruments books! I read them in high school I think, but have reread them several times. And the movie really did ruin them, since the movie literally ended 2 or 3 chapters before the book ending. Which basically got rid of a huge cliffhanger.

Out of the other I've read The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Uglies, and Eragon. And I'd say The Infernal Devices is my favorite, but to read it you really should start with Mortal Instruments.

And finally, of the others, I'd most want to read The Mists of Avalon, which is a series I remember my mom reading and enjoying.
