Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

Honestly, I love the title of this one. I hope it good.
Yes, I've never read Ender's Game. Yes, I'm reading it because a movie is coming out.
I spend a lot of time wondering why I'm not happier or what what would make me happier. Hopefully this book will help.
I like seafood but my experience is limited. I'd love to cook with seafood more. Hoping to find some good advice and recipes.
When I spotted Crazy Sexy Kitchen on the library shelf, I remembered Christine's post about Crazy Sexy Diet last year. Another one with a great title.
I was in the crazy long queue at the library waiting for The Elite. My normal library usually gets new releases and those copies aren't added to the queue. So it's possible to find brand new books on the shelves. I've been stalking the YA section for The Elite for weeks now. This weekend I was able to find it!

What did you get this week?

  1. I have the first book on my Kindle!! I loved, loved, loved, Ender's Game and I usually hate SciFi but this one knocked my socks off!! Enjoy!

  2. I hope you enjoy Ender's Game! I've been wanting to read it since I first learned that there'd be a movie. Science fiction isn't a genre I read all too often, but I hear Orson Scott Card's novel is a well-written piece of work.

    Enjoy the books!

  3. I've never read Ender's Game either but it's been on my TBR list for years and years. One day...I liked The Happiness Project and hope you find it helpful. Enjoy your loot!

  5. A friend recommended Ender's Game to me in high school and I was highly suspicious of it because like Staci, I normally hate sci-fi. But this one is quite good. Happy reading!

  6. You should read Ender's Game as soon as possible because it's much more fun to read it before you have a parent's eye view. As a kid it's all about Ender and his actions, but at some point suddenly you start screaming at all the adults involved and it's all so much more upsetting!
