$21 a pair! And no they aren't cashmere, just nylon. Or these:
Slightly more affordable at $6 on sale. But still $6 for one pair of socks. I need more than one pair and I wear black ones the most. I can't be washing socks everyday.
I tend to buy socks on sale and sometimes they aren't the colors I need. Do you have a go to place for socks? I like knee highs the best.
I really don't wear socks, unless I'm working out. Most (99%) of the shoes I wear are flats or heels, and I don't wear socks or knee highs with them.
ReplyDeleteBUT! I feel your pain! My mom likes the kind that fold at the ankle, so for Christmas part of her gift was socks. I didn't realize how expensive they are now! I got her a 2-pair pack at Target, and it was like $8. Seriously??
Weather wise, it's not pouring here anymore (that was last night), but it's still overcast, and we could get some more rain. It's just dark and gray. Boo.
Black socks almost all winter long here in Minnesota! I have no special sock place - when I need them I pick them up where ever.... :)
ReplyDeleteI get socks for xmas and that is it :( I did find a pair of knee highs that I loved though
ReplyDeleteI don't know what my problem is but I wear through the heels like crazy. If they aren't my own hand knit, I prefer the 6-pack black ankle socks at Target. I think they are around $5 or $6. Since it's not that hot, I rarely wear knee highs. I have discovered SmartWool socks recently. I love them. They are wicked expensive, like $18 a pair. I have three pair. I was originally thinking that they were way too expensive, until it occurred to me that I often spend that much on a ball of sock yarn to knit some for myself. I think they should last a lot longer.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I can so relate. My socks are OLD! I fill in the gaps with cheaper ones from a big box store though. But they don't last nearly as long. It just helps keep the good ones from becoming threadbare before their time.
ReplyDeleteMy socks are old. I wear them til the toes hang out!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I have the same problem with socks. I hardly ever buy new ones and my toes are coming out of alot of them. Oops!
ReplyDeleteThere is a sock shop in Solvang, CA. Millions of socks covering the walls. I walked in, went into sensory overload and walked out. I wear socks around the house so I do have a few pair that are extra soft and cute but mostly I wear the white ones that come in the bag with 5 identical pairs that you can get at Target for cheap. $21. for a pair of socks? I'd rather buy a book.
