The Fall by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan

I was wavering back in forth on waiting to read The Fall til closer to the release of The Night Eternal. But you know how things go, I didn't wait.
The Fall takes up where The Strain leaves off. The vampires have succeeded with phase one of their plan. Eph, Nora, Setrakian, Fet and Zack are trying to survive the vampire invasion. There's a new group of vampire hunters (pretty bad ass ones too) and I thought their addition was a good twist to the story. I also enjoyed learning more about Setrakian especially the flashbacks to his younger days.
I thought this was an excellent second book in the series. It made me excited to read the last one in the trilogy. Others who share their thoughts on The Fall: Chaotic Compendiums, Medieval Bookworm, Alive On The Shelves, and Devourer of Books.
