Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

Sense and Sensibility
I've been trying to read Sense and Sensibility for over a month now. Since I've seen the movie so many times, it's hard to read the book. I know what happens and I can recite a lot of the lines. I thought I'd take a page from Christine and try the graphic novel approach.
After reading about The Rathbones on Shoshanah's blog, I immediately put it on my library queue. I do enjoy sweeping family sagas.

What did you get this week?

  3. I'm so not into Jane Austen so I think a graphic novel would be the only way I could get through it! Among my library loot this week is: We're Going On a Bear Hunt, On The Night You Were Born, Hug, Carl Goes Shopping, and Come Along Daisy. The book next to me for when I'm done reading blogs today is Mindy Kaling's memoir.

  4. I just finished up my last reading obligation for a while so will be returning my one library book (The Other Typist) back and turning to my shelves. Enjoy Rathbones. I've been hearing a lot about that one lately!!

  5. I can't wait to hear what you think of The Rathbones and if it's worth moving to the top of my reading pile. Happy that I helped you discover a book, at least as long as it's one you enjoy!
