Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and me that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

The coffee shop near my work was playing the movie version of The Last Unicorn last month. I loved the movie as a kid but have never read the book. I requested the graphic novel for the readathon but it didn't get here in time.

Tam Lin was listed on a best of fairy tale retelling list. I do love fairy tale retellings but I'm not familiar with this one.

I found Free Food For Millionaires through a Goodreads recommendation (if you read this you'll like this kind of thing). I didn't realize that it's over 550 pages. I still will try to read it but I'm terrible with chunksters.

What did you get this week? Claire's got the linky.

  2. I never actually saw The Last Unicorn growing up. It wasn't till college when my roommate found a copy of it I finally saw it. I do think it's a really interesting movie, although don't have any real nostalgia towards it.
