Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

First we have Thank You For Smoking for The Fill In The Gaps challenge. I've wanted to read it since I saw the movie. I read about Eve: A Novel of The First Woman on Wandeca Reads.  I love books about women of the Bible. It looks good. I can't wait to read it.
I had a little readathon of my own over the weekend and I finish a few books. I finished The Good Neighbors Vols 1&2. I enjoyed both of them very much and I can't wait til the 3rd comes out. I also finished Simple Country Wisdom. At the beginning I felt really guilty. I rather watch tv than vacuum and I don't line dry my clothes. But then there were chapters on cooking and baking which were full of good tips. I wish I could write out all the great tips but there are tips on Country Living website like kitchen tips, home storage tips, and tips for cleaning. I  would give this book to a new homeowner or to newlyweds.
What did you get this week?

  1. I never realized how many movies were made based off of books. Thank You For Smoking was a great movie, so I’m sure that the book is even better. I really need to make more time for reading.
