Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

I had no holds come in this week so I did something I usually don't do-I browsed the shelves! So dangerous. I came home with 3 books that I had on my tbr list when I have 5 other library books to read at home! This is why I don't browse. My hold list usually keeps me pretty busy.
Juliet, Naked is Hornby's latest. I've never read his books (seen the movies based on the books though), so I'll give this one a try. I read about  A Guide to the Birds of East Africa on Marg's blog and was pleased to find it at the library. I picked up Home Safe since I enjoyed The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted also by Berg. Plus I love the cover!
I finished On The Prowl this morning. It was good but I think I need to stop reading anthologies. Just introduces me to new writers and new characters I want to read more about! A sure way to increase my tbr list!
What did you get this week?

  4. I haven't read Nick Hornby in years. I would recommend reading About a Boy or High Fidelity. Also whenever I think of Hornby I think of Roddy Doyle, he of The Commitments and Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha (both good books)

  5. I've been wanting to read that Birds of East Africa book! You've reminded me that I should really get to it this year. :)

  6. So what did you think of them? Have you gotten through any of them yet? Are you on goodreads.com? It seems we have similar tastes, it would be cool to see what else you've read by using goodreads.

  7. Oh the pressure! I hope you like A Guide to the Birds of East Africa.

I read a couple of Elizabeth Berg books years ago, but haven't really felt all that inspired to read more since.

    Enjoy your loot!
