After all this wedding planning, you tend to see people do the same things over and over again. It makes sense. If you see someone doing something that looks fun (candy buffet, photobooth) you want to do that too. A wedding might not be the time try something new. You certainly don't want to make a fool of yourself on the most important day of your life!
But I like seeing unique ideas brought to life. Like these:Gwen Stefani's pink dipped gown. Color on dresses has always been around. There are brides with green, red, blue, even black dresses. Hell, I had a pink dress (perhaps I thought I was Gwen!) but decided to change to an ivory dress. But when you can pull this off because it's really you.
Sigh, I love a tattooed bride. I found this one on Offbeat Bride. A great place to go if you are looking for inspiration beyond the typical wedding fare.Who needs a limo when you have school bus! I found this at Henry Shoots. I'm stalking photographer's blogs now.
Have fun on your wedding day! Play on a swing set. I totally wish we had one at our site! I found this picture on IndieBride. It belongs to Pantsonfire-you can find more of her pictures on their Kvetch site.
Having a beach wedding? Pick up a seashell bouquet here!
The point of all this is that anyone can copy someone else. But if you do choose things that are appropriate to you. Don't choose a candy buffet if you or your FI is a diabetic or doesn't like sweets. Just because every other bride on the knot or in the magazines is doing it doesn't mean it's for you. It's ok to go wild. Try something that screams you. After the wedding is over you don't want people to confuse your wedding with someone else. Dare to be different.
So what's unique about your wedding?
Did you see the photo on onelovephoto.com of the bride who had the pink dipped dress?
