Weekend Cooking: Yakisoba

In my quest to learn to make more Japanese dishes, I attempted yakisoba. Yakisoba is one of those dishes that I order frequently when I go out but have never attempted to make at home.

I'm sorry I didn't try it sooner. Yakisoba is pretty easy to make.

I followed this recipe for the most part. But I used the seasoning packet included with the noodles instead of making my own sauce. Next time I'll try to make my own sauce. Very delicious and quick to make. Also very flexible. I added the veggies I had on hand, zucchini, cabbage, carrots, and onion.

Have you ever made yakisoba?

Weekend Cooking is open to anyone who has any kind of food-related post to share: Book (novel, nonfiction) reviews, cookbook reviews, movie reviews, recipes, random thoughts, gadgets, quotations, photographs. If your post is even vaguely foodie, feel free to grab the button and link up anytime over the weekend. You do not have to post on the weekend. Please link to your specific post, not your blog's home page.
