Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
I actually put this on my hold list because there's an October Daye story in it. I'd hoped to get this one before I read One Salt Sea but it didn't happen that way.
I admit I put this one on hold after it won the National Book Award. Although it sounds really interesting and I can't wait to dive into it.
Another one for the War Through The Generations challenge. I don't know much about World War I so I hope this one gives me some history to start on.
What did you get this week?

  1. I want to read the first one since there are a few stories in there I want :)

  2. All of these are new to me! I like when that happens because I'm usually drawn by a couple of them!

  3. I'm anxiously awaiting your thoughts on To End All Wars. I received my introduction to WWI through a middle grade coffee table-type book called The War to End All Wars. It was very informative and the photos were fantastic.

  4. Both The Swerve and To End All Wars seem to be hot ticket items this season so well done you on getting to them relatively quickly! I usually love war-time history books but, at this point, I'm not hugely interested in Hochschild's focus on dissenters, though I do enjoy his writing. Everything I've heard about the book itself has been glowing. Enjoy!
