But after reading the recipe and the comments, I realized that I needed to make some adjustments.
As you can see not as pretty as the pinned one.
Breaded Mushrooms
(adapted from Notecook)

3 Tbs grated Parmesan cheese
4 Tbs panko bread crumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper
1 egg
Heat oven to 450. Mix cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper together. Dip mushrooms in egg, then dip cheese/bread crumb mix. Place breaded mushrooms on a baking sheet, lined with foil and sprayed with oil. Bake for 6-8 minutes, flip mushrooms, then bake for another 6-8 minutes.

Well I think yours are pretty. This technique is new to me, but one of my recipes that comes close is stuffed mushrooms. Chop stems, combine with herbs, Parmesan. Pile onto caps and bake. Can be appetizer or side.
ReplyDeleteNow this I am going to try. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteI like yours better, I love panko :) And I love mushrooms. Looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe originals look deep-fat fried, actually. I'd prefer your version.

ReplyDeleteSo every time I see their photos I wonder how in the world they turned out so differently (in look) than yours when the exact same ingredients were used?? Still, I would eat them...love mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that you post the recipe photo and then your own as a reality check. Your photo looks tasty, though. I just might try this one. Is it good for you by any chance? Neutral?
ReplyDeleteI think yours look good. :) And this looks like a really recipe and a good one for a buffet.
ReplyDeleteYum yum yum!! We loved fried mushrooms. I've never used panko bread crumbs but need to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Beth, it looks like a good buffet recipe. I may have to add this one to my Thanksgiving recipe collection.
