Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

I had some fun browsing through the shelves last week. I really shouldn't do that. I'm behind on challenges and my reading for Fill In The Gaps, but look shiny new books. I'm powerless to resist. I picked up Ape House since I loved Water for Elephants. The Year Of Living Biblically has always interested me. I think that will be a good read. And I've been attracted to the title of the Bitch is the New Black for a while now. I was weak and grabbed it.
What did you get this week?

  3. I've wanted to read the Ape House because I enjoyed Water for Elephants a few years ago. I just haven't picked it up yet! Enjoy your books.

  4. I love A.J. Jacobs' books and The Year of Living Biblically is particularly fun! If you enjoy it, I'd also recommend The Unlikely Disciple by Kevin Roose. Roose was Jacobs' intern/slave during the biblical year and he decided to go 'undercover' for a term at a Christian university and write about his experiences. It's a great read.
