Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
Just two this week. The Last Of The Mohicans is on my Fill In The Gaps List. This one actually is. I got Of Mice and Men last week cause I thought it was! Perhaps it should have been! While I was searching for another book in my library's catalog, I spotted We're Just Like You, Only Prettier. It looked pretty funny. I've read one of her other books, Stop Dressing Your Six Year Old Like A Skank, which I thought was funny. I've wanted to give that book to strangers.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a signed copy of An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire. I have three copies so that means three winners! Go to this post to sign up!
What did you get this week?

  2. I read The Last of the Mohicans on summer vacation on year and adored it - it was just the kind of pioneering, adventure story that fired my imagination when I was growing up! I am also hugely intrigued by We're Just Like You, Only Prettier. I've never heard of it before but what a title!

    Enjoy your loot!

  4. I much preferred the movie to the book with Last of the Mohicans. Have read it twice, once for personal enjoyment and then for college.

  5. I've not read The Last of the Mohicans yet (on the TBR list), but loved Cooper's The Deerslayer.

  6. Hi Linda! :)
I've never read The Last of the Mohicans, but I have seen the film at least twice. I think my teen will be reading the book next year, so maybe I'll read it along with her then.

I've read one of her other books, Stop Dressing Your Six Year Old Like A Skank, which I thought was funny. I've wanted to give that book to strangers.
